A HEART OPENING MEDITATION.
Sit comfortably, letting go of your day, your memories, and your thoughts. Begin to focus all your awareness on your inhales and exhales, experiencing everything there is to experience with each breath. Stay with this for a few minutes, gently bringing your attention back to the breath when you find that your mind has wandered.
Then, with each inhale, picture your whole body beginning to glow with a warm, golden light. With each subsequent inhale, imagine that the light surrounding you glows a little brighter. Stay with this for a minute or two.
Now picture yourself fully enveloped in this warm light. The light is coming out of you and surrounding your whole body. Imagine that the light is pure love energy, and it is filling your heart with a greater capacity to love and be loved with each breath you take. Keep breathing in and out, feeling your heart space expand with more and more love energy. This love is filling you up and changing you from the inside out; it is making you more compassionate toward yourself and others, more accepting, more at peace.
As you continue to breathe and feel the expansiveness of infinite, unconditional love, which is who you truly are at your core, say each of the following affirmations to yourself a few times:
~ I love myself.
~ I am worthy of love.
~ My heart is big, with a huge capacity for loving others.
~ The Universe loves me unconditionally.
~ I am inviting more love from others and am opening myself up to more love.
~ I love others unconditionally, in ways that make them feel free.
~ I intend to have more and more experiences of giving and receiving love.
~ I am pure love energy. This is who I am.
